The Rays avoided arbitration with Cy Young winner David Price yesterday, agreeing to one-year deal worth a little over $10 million.
Price, who earned $4.35 million last season, over doubled his 2012 salary as well as exceeded MLBTradeRumors.com’s $9.5 million projection for 2013. The new deal also makes him now the club’s highest paid player.
